The oldest known Shogi pieces can be traced back to the year 1210, and to this day the game is enjoyed by millions of players around the world.

Shogi is een spannend en strategisch spel dat makkelijk te leren is en vaak wordt omschreven als ‘Japans schaken’. De oudste Shogi stukken kunnen worden herleid naar het jaar 1210 en het spel wordt op dit moment gespeeld door miljoenen spelers wereldwijd.

About the Shogi Bond
The Shogi Bond was founded in 1981 by six players. Today, the organization is responsible for hosting the Dutch Shogi Championships, maintaining ties with the Japanese Shogi Association, and managing the official classification and ranking of Shogi players in the Netherlands. Their goal is to make Shogi more widely known and accessible throughout the Netherlands.
Over de Shogi Bond
De Shogi Bond was in 1981 opgericht door zes spelers. Vandaag de dag is de organisatie verantwoordelijk voor het organiseren van de Nederlandse Shogi-kampioenschappen, het onderhouden van relaties met de Japanse Shogi Association en het managen van de officiële classificatie en en ranking van Shogi-spelers in Nederland. Hun doel is om Shogi toegankelijker en meer bekend te maken door heel Nederland.
